Terms of Service

TL;DR: You own your data. The service is free today, with some features that may become paid in the future. If that happens, you will always have a choice. AI meal suggestions are optional and require your consent. You can export or delete your data on request.

2. What GreLife does
GreLife helps families plan meals together. You can:
- Create and manage recipes
- Plan weekly meals
- Generate shopping lists
- Get AI-powered meal suggestions (optional, requires consent)
- Invite family members to collaborate
3. Your account
- You need a valid email and password to sign up.
- Keep your credentials safe, you are responsible for them.
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have a parent or guardian's consent.
- One account per person, one family per account.
4. What we expect from you
Please don't:
- Use the service for anything unlawful
- Try to access another family's data
- Interfere with the security of the service
- Create accounts using bots or scripts
- Share your login with others
5. Your data, your property
- You own everything you create: recipes, meal plans, shopping lists. Always.
- We use your data to run and improve GreLife (for example, better meal suggestions or faster performance). Today, we do not use it for advertising or sell it to anyone (see section 6).
- You can export your data on request in a machine-readable format.
- You can delete your account and all associated data on request.
6. How GreLife works today
- No data selling. Your data is not a product.
- No ads. GreLife is ad-free.
- No tracking. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting.
- No credit card required for free features.
- No lock-in. You can always export your data and leave.
If our model evolves (for example, to fund infrastructure), we will offer you a clear choice: a paid version or an alternative with a tradeoff (such as advertising). You will never be forced into anything, you will always have a choice.
7. Access to your data
We only access your family's data when:
- You ask us for help (support request)
- We need to fix a technical issue affecting your account
- We are legally required to (court order, legal obligation)
We will never browse your data out of curiosity.
8. AI meal suggestions
- This feature is optional and requires your family's explicit consent.
- When enabled, some data is sent to OpenAI (see Privacy Policy, section 3).
- AI suggestions are not dietary or medical advice.
- You are responsible for checking that suggestions fit your family's needs.
- You can disable this feature at any time.
9. Service availability
- GreLife is provided as-is. We do our best, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime.
- We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.
- We may modify or discontinue the service without notice.
10. Before we delete anything
- If we ever need to discontinue the service, we will notify you and, where possible, maintain read-only access for at least 30 days so you can export your data before deletion.
- If we suspend your account for a terms violation, we will notify you first when reasonably possible and give you a chance to export your data.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
- We are not liable for data loss beyond our reasonable control.
- Our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months (if anything).
12. Intellectual property
- The GreLife app, its design, code, and branding belong to Loïc Gremaud.
- Your content (recipes, meal plans, etc.) belongs to you.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do:
- We update the date at the top of this page.
- For significant changes, we notify you by email or in the app.
- If you continue using GreLife after changes take effect, you accept the new terms.
- If you disagree, you can export your data and delete your account.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Disputes go to the courts of the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland, unless consumer protection laws in your country say otherwise.
